Visitation & Hours

Grounds: Access to Arlington’s grounds is via the Main Entrance on Compton Avenue.  Patrons and visitors are permitted upon the grounds as follows:

►From April 1st through October 31st – 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM

►From November 1st through March 31st – 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM

Administrative Center: Arlington’s Administrative Team is available to provide general services such as location assistance or to provide information or to respond to any other inquiries during the following normal operating hours:

►Monday through Friday – 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM

►Saturday – 8:00 AM until 12:00 Noon

►Closed on Sunday

Family Services: Members of Arlington’s Family Service Team are available daily during normal Administrative Center operating hours or also by appointment to accommodate those with unusual schedules.

Floral Shop: The Floral Shop is open during normal Administrative operating hours.

Reception Center: Arlington makes the Reception Center available 7 days a week, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  Requests for evening hour activities in the Reception Center are available but must be approved by an Arlington corporate officer.

Lakeside Chapel Visitation: Arlington attempts to provide easy access to the Lakeside Chapel & Mausoleum which is a secure facility open for visitation from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM or by special request if arranged in advance.

Weddings & Photography: Requests for weddings and wedding pictures must be submitted to Arlington’s Coordinator of Special Events and must conform to Arlington’s policies.

Floral Decorations:
Grave Spaces/Scattering Garden
Fresh-cut flowers are permitted at all times.

  1. Artificial flowers are only permitted from November 1 through April 15.
  2. Glass containers are not permitted.
  3. Plantings in memorial vases are prohibited.
  4. All Christmas decorations will be removed February 1.
  5. Decorations, fresh or artifical, will be removed if they interfere with ground care or other maintenance.
  6. Do not insert wires into ground to hold decorations in place.
  7. Plotted plants are only permitted on Easter, Memorial Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day.  They may be placed 3 days prior and will be removed 10 days after the holiday.
  8. Flags are permitted on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Flag Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.  **Flags may be placed 3 days in advance of the holiday and are subject for removal 10 days after that holiday.

**Because Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July fall so closely together, U.S. Flags will be permitted on grave sites through July 14th.  On the morning of July 15th, our Grounds Team will remove all flags.
